Playing Cards
Over the years, I have amassed many collections, but none are more unique and enjoyable than playing cards. So, seeing the many variations of designs out there, I decided to craft my own. These cards were designed to be minimal yet detailed, flashy yet reserved, and timeless.

These cards feature an eye-catching yet minimalistic design using small details from the iconic Bicycle Deck we all know and love and featuring slight references to the Tarot Deck.
Hidden Details
Minimal
If you look at a traditional deck of Bicycle Playing Cards, you’ll see each Royal holding particular objects, flowers, or weapons. This is where I drew the inspiration for the face cards and how I kept a minimal design. As for the Jokers, I drew inspiration from the origins of playing cards and their connection to another well-designed set of cards, the Tarot Deck. In which the Jokers signify the first two Tarot Cards, The Fool and The Magician, which the Jokers in this deck feature references to.
A minimal design doesn’t just mean a cleaner look; it also can help conceal your hand better in a game of poker. Designed to purposely be harder to read at a glance or from a distance, this ensures that the only person who sees your hand is you.
Perfect for Any Hand

These cards started as rough sketches in Procreate on the iPad. The idea was to be minimalistic and only easy to read by the holder. They feature a radial and diagonal design to give a unique look to something we’ve all seen a hundred times. After completing the sketches in Procreate, I took them into Illustrator on Mac, vectorized the designs, and finalized their placements.
