MCU Slipcovers
This is a personal project of mine, along with my other Marvel-related projects. I sought to create slipcovers for my set of Marvel Cinematic Universe Blu-Rays I had collected over the years, wanting to focus on creating something cohesive, minimalistic, and eye-catching while still keeping the uniqueness of each film apparent in their designs.

A look behind the curtain.
The MCU Blu-Ray Covers start with sketches done in Procreate on the iPad. It’s essential for me to capture the essence of the film as much as I can while remaining minimal. I don’t want to overcomplicate the cover and make it bogged down with unnecessary fluff. I go as far with the artwork on the iPad, capturing the necessary details before moving it over to Adobe Illustrator on the Mac. In Illustrator, all the pieces of work are assembled onto the cover using guidelines and “keystones” to ensure everything is lined up and concise, so when they’re displayed on the shelf, they are perfectly uniform. Gradients are applied to add depth to the artwork, and it’s finalized and ready for print.
This is not an official collection or collaboration in any way, shape, or form. I do not hold any rights to any of the characters shown or the Marvel Comics logo; all rights belong to Marvel Comics. This is purely for “fan art” purposes and is not for sale or distribution. All artwork, aside from the Marvel Comics logo, Marvel Studios logo, any Marvel Studios film logo, and the Comics Code Authority logo, are original pieces created by Cody Brenner.
